Daytime Activities (areas)

•Waterfront Activities: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, boat rides, fishing, and water fun.

•Athletic field Activities: soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, frisbee games.

•Adventure: archery, ropes course & team building, mountain biking, nature hikes, camping and campfire skills.

•Arts & Crafts: General arts and crafts, T-shirt dying, mosaics, ceramics & hand building and woodworking.

•Music & Drama:Drum circles, song and voice, improv, skits, dance, intro to yoga and martial arts.

•Education:Chess, Geography games, financial literacy games, math puzzles, mind teasers, good health quiz, history trivia, letter writing, and reading.

The CDD Evening Program

Evening Activities: egg drop, treasure hunt, counselor hunt, gold rush, capture the flag, scavenger hunt, The DayDreams Crossword, dramatic skits, DayDreams Court.

DayDreams Town Meeting Skit Themes: teamwork, good sportsmanship, harmful gossip, avoiding physical confrontations, not backstabbing your friends, on being a good friend, how to deal with peer pressure, on being kind and giving to others, taking responsibility, looking to the future, and many, many more.

The Evening Campfire: a different cabin group runs the campfire each night. That cabin is responsible for building the campfire, presenting an original song, and teaching everyone a traditional song. The campfire gives us all a chance to review the day and to recognize special things that took place during the day. We all look forward to this special time of peace and joy.
